Build the summary from four parts
- Leadership identity: the role or function you are prepared to lead
- Scope: teams, regions, customers, budgets, products, or operating complexity
- Business priorities: growth, transformation, execution, efficiency, risk, or customer value
- Evidence: two or three supported outcomes that demonstrate impact

Replace clichés with proof
Terms such as visionary, dynamic, results-driven, and strategic add little unless the résumé demonstrates what they mean. Prefer clear scope and outcomes.
- Replace ‘proven leader’ with the size and type of organization led
- Replace ‘growth-focused’ with the market, revenue, customer, or pipeline outcome
- Replace ‘transformation expert’ with what changed and why it mattered
- Use only metrics and claims the candidate can explain in an interview
Final executive-summary check
- Target one leadership direction
- Keep the opening concise enough to scan quickly
- Use language appropriate to the target industry and level
- Avoid first-person pronouns, objectives, and generic soft-skill lists
- Make sure the experience section proves every major claim
