Score against one real job
There is no universal ATS score. Results change with the job description, scoring tool, employer configuration, and parsing method. Compare your résumé with the specific role you want.
Use the employer’s accurate language
- Use the full term and common acronym when truthful, such as customer relationship management (CRM).
- Match relevant tool, method, certification, and industry terms.
- Place important skills inside achievement bullets—not only in a keyword list.
Make the document easy to parse
Use familiar headings such as Summary, Skills, Experience, Education, and Certifications. Avoid text boxes, decorative columns, charts, icons used as labels, and information placed only in headers or footers.
Add evidence and context
A strong match includes scope and results. State what you did, for whom or at what scale, and what changed when the facts are available.
Do a final quality review
- Confirm dates and titles are consistent.
- Spell-check and remove duplicated language.
- Open the PDF to verify readability.
- Never claim a required qualification you do not possess.
