1. Information we collect
We collect information you choose to provide, including your name, email address, country, target role, job-posting link, résumé or CV, job description, service selection, and special instructions. The free résumé builder also collects the résumé details you enter so it can generate and email your requested PDF. Résumés may contain employment history, education, skills, contact details, and other information you include.
We collect limited first-party usage information, including pages viewed, referral source, campaign parameters, general device category, country code, and a temporary session identifier. We use this information to understand website performance and improve the service; it is not used for cross-site advertising. Our hosting providers may also process ordinary technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, access time, and security logs.
2. How we use information
- Review, confirm, and fulfill your requested service, including emailing free builder files you request.
- Tailor job-search materials to a specific opportunity.
- Communicate about pricing, payment, delivery, revisions, and support.
- Send job-search guidance and occasional offers only when you separately opt in. The marketing box is optional and unchecked by default; every promotional email includes an unsubscribe option.
- Protect the service, prevent misuse, and comply with legal obligations.
- Maintain business, transaction, consent, and dispute-resolution records.
We do not use your résumé to make an employment decision, contact an employer, or apply for a job without your express instruction.
3. AI-assisted processing and application automation
ResumeJobFit may use third-party AI tools to analyze a résumé against a job description and assist with drafting. The optional ResumeJobFit Applicator acts only on jobs you approve and pauses for CAPTCHA, login, assessments, attestations, sensitive questions, or unknown facts. You must verify application content and final documents. See the AI-Assisted Tailoring Disclosure.
4. Extension telemetry and credits
With your consent, we record privacy-safe operational events such as adapter and version, employer domain and redacted path, field labels and types, selector actions, checkpoints, and outcomes. Extension telemetry does not include passwords, access tokens, CAPTCHA answers, demographic answers, field values, résumé contents, or full page HTML. One application credit is recorded only after a completed submission, with duplicate ledger protection.
4. How information may be shared
We may share information with service providers that support secure hosting, file storage, AI-assisted processing, email delivery, payment processing, fraud prevention, and professional advice. They may process information only for the services they provide to us. We may also disclose information when legally required or to protect rights and safety.
ResumeJobFit does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
5. Storage and retention
Uploaded files are stored in private, access-controlled storage rather than a public folder. We retain request information only as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, handle revisions or disputes, maintain required business records, and meet legal obligations. You may request deletion, subject to records we must retain.
6. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or information about how your data is processed. You can revoke extension tokens or permanently delete your account from the customer portal. Deletion removes profiles, résumés, campaigns, approved queues, answers, tokens, sessions, and extension telemetry. Transaction records may be anonymized and retained where required for accounting, fraud prevention, and legal obligations. You may unsubscribe from marketing at any time.
7. Security and international processing
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Because ResumeJobFit serves clients worldwide, information may be processed in countries other than your own, where privacy laws may differ.
8. Children
The service is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. Users under the age of legal majority where they live should use the service only with a parent or guardian’s involvement.
9. Cookies, analytics, and targeting
Essential browser storage supports security, checkout, account sessions, and privacy choices. Optional first-party analytics is disabled until you consent through the cookie panel. ResumeJobFit does not currently use targeted-advertising cookies, sell personal information, or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Email-marketing consent is separate from cookie consent. See the Cookie Policy and use the Cookie choices button on any page to change optional settings.
10. Policy updates
We may update this policy as the service changes. The revised effective date will appear at the top, and material changes will be communicated when reasonably practical.
